By using this site/application or otherwise indicating your consent via email or other electronic means, you accept the practices described in this Policy. This Policy may be changed from time to time, and the update date is always displayed on the Site. Vanago reserves the right to change this Policy, in whole or in part, at any time at its own discretion. Where appropriate, Policy updates may be communicated to you via email. Your continued use of the Site confirms that you accept all changes we make. We use a third-party payment service to process payments made through the Site/Application. In this case, the third party providing this service will collect your information instead of Vanago. Such information will not be subject to this Policy; instead, the privacy policy and terms of the third parties will apply. We note that we have no control over and assume no responsibility for the use or disclosure of such information by third parties. If you transfer any information about persons other than yourself through the Site/Application, you represent that you are authorized to provide such information and permit the use of the information in accordance with this Policy.

What Data Do We Process?

Vanago may collect information you provide directly to us through the Site/Application via email or direct communication, including but not limited to your name and email address, service configuration (reservation) information, transaction information, and your opinions about Vanago. When you visit the Site/Application, Vanago may automatically collect certain technical information from your browser, such as the internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the internet, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other data related to your site visit. When visiting the Site, we may use both session cookies (which expire when you close your web browser) and persistent cookies (which remain on your computer until you delete them) to make your experience on the Site more personal and interactive. The information collected may include websites you visited before browsing the Site, pages you viewed on the Site, how many times you accessed the Site, how much time you spent on the Site, and other web traffic data. You can disable the use of cookies by changing your web browser settings. The Vanago website and application are hosted by a third-party platform called Google Firebase ("Firebase"). For the proper performance of the service, to direct the transportation vehicle to your address, and for real-time tracking of the transportation process, we may process your precise or approximate location data (GPS) if you grant permission while using our mobile application. This data is not collected when the application is closed or not in use; it is only actively used during the service period. We may use Google Analytics Advertising features to collect anonymous data about the gender, age, and interests of Site visitors. You can opt out of your data being used by Google Analytics by accessing Google's general advertising settings, advertising settings for mobile applications, or other available tools. Visual Data Processing and Artificial Intelligence Analysis

When you use the "Find the Right Vehicle with AI" feature in our mobile application, we collect photos of your items to be transported. This visual data is processed as follows:

  • Collection: Photos are collected only with your explicit consent through the camera or gallery.
  • Storage: Uploaded photos are securely stored in Firebase Storage infrastructure.
  • Artificial Intelligence Analysis: Your photos are analyzed by the Google Gemini artificial intelligence service to provide you with an appropriate vehicle size recommendation.
  • International Transfer: During this analysis process, your photos are transferred to Google Cloud servers in the United States with your explicit consent and are subject to Google's privacy policy.
  • Retention Period: Your visual data is retained until the legal retention periods prescribed by relevant legislation expire, after which it is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized.
  • Purpose: This data is used solely to provide you with better service, recommend the correct vehicle size, and improve service quality.

By using the AI item recognition feature, you give explicit consent to the processing of your photos as described above. You are not required to use this feature; you can make manual vehicle selections.

How Do We Use Your Information?

We use the information we collect as described below:

  • We may use the collected information to configure reservations or to contact you to inform you of the current status of reservations you submit through the Application. We may also contact you to request your feedback on a product, service, or event.
  • We may also use your information to fulfill your other requests, including but not limited to requests to receive promotional materials. Promotional materials may include information about Vanago competitions, events, and/or products. We may also use your information to share other services or products that may interest you. Promotional materials may be communicated via emails. If you do not want these materials sent to you, you can opt out of receiving promotional communications by contacting us at info@vanago.app.
  • As described above, we may collect information using Identifiers, cookies, and/or analytics tools. We may use this information to personalize your experience on the Site and Application and/or to improve the security, design, and/or functionality of the Site and Application.
  • Your information may be used for internal reporting and business development activities, for making various statistical evaluations without disclosing your identity, for creating databases, and for market research purposes. Such information may be processed, stored, and transmitted to third parties by Vanago for direct marketing, digital marketing, remarketing, targeting, profiling, and analysis purposes, and you may be contacted for announcements regarding the promotion, maintenance, and support activities of various applications, products, and services based on such information.

Who May We Share Your Information With?

We may share your information with the following parties when necessary:

  • Your information may be shared with Vanago Partners, limited to the reservation information you make through the Application. Vanago Partners include companies providing transportation services and their employees. Reservation information is important for the complete provision of the service to you. However, your payment information is never shared with Partners.
  • We may share your information with selected partners for business partnerships, including but not limited to conducting audits, performing industry analysis, and evaluating the results of marketing efforts. When you provide information as described above, we may share your information with selected partners (such as email newsletter providers) to provide you with the requested information.
  • Our third-party service providers and advertising companies may use cookies and other technologies to collect information and track navigation activities on third-party websites. Other websites may send traffic or links to the Site and may serve you targeted advertisements. Vanago does not control these third-party technologies, and the use of these technologies is subject to the privacy policies of the third parties using such technologies.
  • We may share your information in cases required by law in accordance with KVKK notifications. For example, your information may be shared at the request of official authorities conducting an investigation or for the purpose of verifying or enforcing compliance with the policies governing the Site and applicable laws. Additionally, we may share your user information when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vanago, our related affiliates, business partners, customers, or others.
  • Vanago may share your information with third parties such as external service providers, hosting service providers, law firms, including those sending emails and SMS, to improve your user experience (including improvement and personalization), ensure your security, detect fraudulent or unauthorized uses, conduct operational evaluation research, fix errors related to Site services, and to achieve any of the purposes set forth in this Privacy Policy.
  • Our Site may contain links or content provided by third parties. Vanago is not responsible for the privacy practices of such third-party sites. You should refer to the privacy policies of the relevant websites to view their privacy practices.
  • Our Site may contain links or buttons that allow you to share or post content on third-party social media platforms. The privacy policies of such social media platforms will apply to any content you share or post, and Vanago is not responsible for the privacy practices of such third-party platforms.
  • Your personal data will be retained for the periods prescribed by the relevant legislation or required by the processing purpose (for example, for 10 years, which is the legal limitation period under the Commercial Code and Tax Procedure Law). When the processing purpose ceases to exist or legal retention periods expire, your personal data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized by Vanago ex officio or upon your request.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or other commercial transactions involving some or all of Vanago's assets, the data you provide to Vanago may be transferred to an acquirer during or after such transactions are completed.

As the Data Subject, you undertake that the information subject to this Privacy Policy is complete, accurate, and up-to-date, and that you will immediately update it in case of any changes. Vanago shall not be responsible if you fail to provide up-to-date information.

How Do We Protect Your Information?

Vanago has implemented various physical, electronic, and administrative security measures against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information we store and collect. We do not disclose the personal data obtained from you to others in violation of this Privacy Policy and the Personal Data Protection Law, and we do not use it for purposes other than the processing purpose. Vanago does not collect or store any information from children under 13. To respect the privacy of children, if you are under 18, you should use the Site/Application only with the participation of a parent or guardian.

Your Rights

In accordance with Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law, you can learn whether we process your personal data. If we process your personal data, you can request information about data processing. You can learn Vanago's purposes for processing your personal data and whether the personal data is used in accordance with its purpose. If your personal data is transferred to third parties, you can learn the third parties to whom your information is transferred domestically or abroad. If your personal data has been processed incompletely or incorrectly, you can request its correction. Additionally, you can request that we notify the third parties to whom we have transferred personal data of the action taken in this regard, if transferred. If there are situations where a result against you arises as a result of the analysis of your personal data we process through automated systems, you can object to these.

Additionally, even though we as Vanago have processed your data in accordance with the Law and relevant legislation, you can request the deletion or destruction of your data when the reasons requiring the processing of personal data no longer exist. If you want to permanently delete your user account and associated data, you can request the deletion of your account by sending a request from your registered email address to info@vanago.app. When your account is deleted, all your personal data except for data we are legally required to retain (e.g., invoice records) will be permanently removed from our systems.

You can control how your information is used in the following ways:

  • If you no longer wish to receive promotional emails, you can opt out by contacting us at info@vanago.app. Please note that even if you opt out of receiving marketing communications, we may still contact you regarding a business relationship you have with us. We ask that you allow a reasonable time after contacting us for us to process your request.

  • Almost all browsers accept some cookies until you change your browser settings.
