Frequently asked questions
When should I start preparing for my move?
For a full house move it is best to start at least two weeks ahead. That gives you time to sort your belongings, get boxes and start transferring your utilities. For a few items, a few days is enough.
How long before the move should I switch off the fridge?
Empty and unplug the fridge at least 12 hours before the move and leave the door ajar. The ice melts, so nothing leaks or smells. In the new home, let it stand upright for a few hours before switching it on — that is good for the compressor.
What should I watch out for on moving day?
Arrange a parking spot the vehicle can reach, let the building management know you need the lift, keep your phone on, and check cupboards and drawers one last time before you leave.
